ALL-GRAIN INGREDIENT PACKAGES. NOT FOR THE BEGINNER BREWER. The following all-grain beer recipes have been developed over a number of years for our walk-in customers. Many have been entered in brewing competitions and have done well. Recipes have been formulated to fall within the beer style guidelines as outlined by the BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program). Each recipe produces five gallons of finished beer. Each recipe includes crushed grain, pelletized hops, irish moss, priming sugar and dried yeast (no crown caps included). Recipes are based on a 70% mash efficiency, ninety minute boil and a finished quantity in the fermenter of five US gallons. If you like, choose a liquid strain of yeast.
All-grain brewing takes some extra pieces of equipment. We recommend having a 33 qt pot or larger, a 20 qt pot, a bottling bucket with spigot (for sparging), a sparge bag, a bucket or two (to collect the runnings) and a thermometer. It also helps to have 5 hours of spare time too!
