One pound bag of American heavy toast American oak chips. These chips offer a substantially different flavor from the Mediuim toast American oak chips. Heavy toast gives more chocolate, coffee and roasted nut flavors. You may even find a hint of nutmeg. Great for big red wines such as Cab, Merlot, Zin and Syrah. Use 4 oz's per 5 gallon of wine in the secondary fermenter. 1-2 weeks of contact time is required.
