Renaissance Red Zinfandel. 2005 vintage. This wine is made from grapes harvested in California's central valley. The grapes were crushed, cold soaked and fermented on the skins for 4 weeks. After pressing the wine was aged in American and French oak barrels for one year. The aroma is fresh with ripe raspberry and blackberry fruit. Midpalate is fruit with hints of vanilla oak. The finish is long and fruity with lots of supporting tannins. A big, luscuious fruity wine that pairs well with red meats, spicy pasta dishes and strong cheeses. 750 ml bottle.
